Marsha L. Boyd

Marsha L. Boyd, 65 of Arvada, CO passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. She was survived by her Husband Bud; her children Cybil Boyd, Slade (Amelia) Boyd & Lacey (Justin) Geanetta; grandchildren, Anthony, Colton, Caden & Rylan. Her sisters Judy Shinn (Gary), & Nancy Allen. Sister-in-law LeAnn Werner (Hal). Her brother-in-laws' Paul Boyd, David Boyd and Alan Boyd. She was followed closely in death by her beloved mother Rose Hofferber. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Hofferber, brother-in-law Tommy Vigil and sister-in-law Robbie Boyd. She was born in Prospect Valley, moved to the Arvada area at 5 years old and never ventured too far. Marsha graduated as an Arvada High School Redskin in 1967. She started her lifelong career in the Steel industry in 1973 working for Steel Placers, she worked there for about 8 years. After her marriage to Bud in 1977 in Reno, NV, they started B & C Steel Inc., together in 1981, followed by Metro Steel in 1983. Marsha was very active on the Local 24 Iron Workers' Apprenticeship board. She loved her work and her family very much. She loved traveling and will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by many. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Horan & McConaty, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada.
