Marnan (Ralston) Peacock, 79, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was born in 1936 in Kilwinning, Scotland. She spent her formative years in Saltcoats, Scotland, where she was known to play Field Hockey for her school. She was on the swim team there and even won a medal. She started working at a young age as an Engineer Apprentice with BP Oil. At the age of 18, Marnan immigrated to the United States to join her parents in Colorado. Not long after arriving in the Denver area she met Bobby Peacock, a handsome young man stationed at Lowry Air Force Base. Bobby and Marnan married on June 9, 1956 in Chapel 1 at Lowry. Soon after their marriage, they added four daughters (Carolyn, Nona, Shona and Penny) and one son (Robin). Marnan traveled with Bobby as he continued his Air Force career. In 1958, upon Bobby's discharge they made their family home in the Denver Metro Area. Marnan began working for Navajo Express before starting a career with the State of Colorado's Department of Natural Resources, Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. She retired after 33 years of dedicated service and took advantage of the opportunity to name several oil wells after her children. Marnan loved to travel to the Bahamas, Las Vegas, and Grand Lake as well as cruise the seas. She was a Scottish Lass of many talents. A mean Cribbage player, great slots player, and a puzzle solver. She was an avid Bronco's fan and she and Bobby were long time season ticket holders.
