Marlin Day Cwach

Marlin Day Cwach, born Eunice Marlin Day on January 7, 1939, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026. 

She married Emil Ernest Cwach in August of 1960. Known throughout her life simply as Marlin, she later legally changed her name to Marlin Day Cwach. 

Marlin devoted her life to the people and pursuits she cherished most. She had an abiding love for her family, believed deeply in the value of education, and delighted in storytelling and writing. Whether sharing family history, recounting memorable adventures, or engaging in conversation, she had a gift for connecting with others through words. She also appreciated the finer things in life and found joy in intellectual and sophisticated pursuits that enriched both her own life and those around her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Emil Cwach. She leaves behind her three daughters, Andrea Cwach Gabel, Lynn Marie Jordan, and Emily Day Marlett; her ten grandchildren; and her ten great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in watching each new generation grow and flourish. 

Though she will be missed, Marlin's wisdom, stories, curiosity, and unwavering love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her life was a testament to the enduring importance of knowledge, meaningful conversation, and the bonds of family. 

Her memory will live on, shaped by the individuals whose lives she touched. She will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery, next to Emil, in a private service. Donations to Emily Griffith Opportunity School are encouraged, in lieu of flowers.
