Marjorie “Perk” L. Gibbs, 94, of Highlands Ranch, CO, passed away on November 2, 2020. She was born to Frederick Perkins and Helen Beulah Jones Perkins in Boston, MA.

She Married Richard Gray Gibbs on April 17, 1946, in El Paso, TX, at Ft. Bliss.

She is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Gibbs; her son Tom (Irene)Gibbs and their children Alanna (Steve)Hirst, Erik (Lizzy) Gibbs, and Shauna (Chris) Anson and great grandchildren Evan, Kyle, and Justin Hirst and Arden Gibbs; and her daughter Lynn (Rick) Sauer and granddaughters Christy (Ted) Mahon and Jennifer Sauer. Perk was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Perkins, and was close to her nieces Rachel Garner and Beth Loesch.

Perk grew up in Weston, Massachusetts, and moved with Dick to all the various locations the military assigned them, to include the Philippine Islands, Japan, Texas, California, and Mississippi. They moved to Colorado in 1964 after Dick retired from the Air Force and started a new career with United Airline. She enjoyed golf, her painting group, volunteering at the Red Cross in Japan and The Denver Art Museum, attending services at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, and working at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Kent School. She loved to travel, and went many times to Europe, as well as Australia and New Zealand, and she and Dick enjoyed several cruises. In 2007, Perk and Dick moved to Wind Crest, where they made many new friends.

The Memorial service will be determined at a later date due to the Covid-19 Virus.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the staff at Mill Vista Lodge and Bristol Hospice Denver for the care and affection they provided for Perk.
