Marjorie Elizabeth Houck Gearhart

Marjorie Elizabeth Houck Gearhart, 91, of Brighton, CO. passed away at Holly Heights Care Center April 19, 2018 in Denver. Marjorie was born March 16, 1927 in Rayne Twp., Indiana, PA, a daughter of Raymond C. Houck and Flora E. Kinter Houck. She was married to Byron Lee Gearhart, of Indiana, Pa., on July 27, 1946 following his return home from serving in WW II. They moved the family to Colorado in 1961. Marjorie was retired from Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle Co. She is survived by four children, Linda Hulette (Tim), Gloria Herriot, Thomas Gearhart, and Timothy Gearhart (Linda), all living in the Denver area; brother, Richard Houck (Mary Jane); sister, Doris Ruffner; sister-in-law, Jane Schmidt (Ron); two brothers-in-law, Jim Gearhart (Jenny) and Bruce Gearhart (Nioma). Marjorie had 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Byron in 2014, and her granddaughter, Karol Holmes. Services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 2:30 PM, at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, area 'B', in Denver, CO.
