Marion Brozovich

July 31, 1924 — January 29, 2022

Marion Helen Brozovich was born July 31,1924 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to George and Anna (Sagel) Schmick. Her father died at the young age of 47 in a tragic accident leaving behind Marion and her seven siblings Katie, Henry, Hanna, Martha, Lydia, Samuel, and Abraham. Their mother, Anna, was a hard worker and raised the children on her own while working the beet fields. As the children reached an age where they could also work, they joined her in the fields.

In her late teens, Marion left Fort Morgan and joined her sister, Hanna (Jackii) in Denver where she met John Brozovich while working at the Rexall Drugstore located in Kunsmiller Heights in Denver. They fell in love and married and were blessed with four children – Robert (Pat), Sharon (Ernie), Dennis (Mary) and Gregory (Amal). John preceded Marion in death on June 30, 2006. For the next 16 years, Marion developed many wonderful friendships while living independently at home and then in the San Marino community in Westminster, Colorado. She bloomed into a woman in her own right and lived there until the end of her life at 97 years old.

She was blessed with 11 grandchildren: Rob (Kim) Brozovich, Gabrielle Brozovich, Melissa Brozovich, Kelly (Marc) Buccino, Brandy Manning, Kendra (Kyle) Martinez, Germaine Brozovich, Charmaine Brozovich (deceased), Matthew (Jennifer) Brozovich, John Brozovich and Michael Brozovich… AND eight great grandchildren – Adranna Brite, Michael Brite, Caden Manning, Diego Martinez, Caleb Meehan, Delaney Meehan, Tyce Brozovich and Zoe Brozovich.

An incredible homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend, Marion was always lots of fun to be around especially when games were involved. She was especially fond of Farkel, bingo, cards, and gambling! In the days of rotary phones, she listened daily to radio shows that had contests where the first caller won the prize. She would dial all the numbers except the last one and was often successful in winning – everything from a mink stole to cash prizes.

Marion will be missed by her large family and many friends who were blessed by her life.
