Marilyn Joyce Mehlman

Marilyn Joyce Mehlman, age 82, died in her home in Denver Colorado on August 27, 2025. A Denver native, she was a member of the first graduating class of George Washington High School in 1961. She earned her Licensed Practical Nursing certification, (LPN) and Registered Nursing certification, (RN) from Arapahoe Community College, which culminated in a 30 plus year nursing career.

Ms. Mehlman was an avid skier from an early age. It was a passion born from frequent Ski Train trips to Winter Park in the early days of the Eskimo Ski Club. She thoroughly enjoyed the Colorado mountains her entire life.

In keeping with her adventurous spirit and not to be outdone by her sons, Marilyn decided to take up a new hobby of scuba diving a little later in life. This was the catalyst for many very enjoyable and memorable family vacations to Mexico and Florida.

She is survived by her significant other, Henry” Hank” Juister, her sons Brant and Kirk, daughters in law, Gillian and Amy, two grandsons, Spencer and Marik and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life honoring Ms. Mehlman will be held at a later date.
