It was here she met her two best friends, Lorraine and Lucy. Then it was “love at first sight” when she met Leo, and they married at Ft. Campbell, KY on August 18, 1950. She had her two children in West Lawn and then moved on to Mt. Greenwood. When Leo retired, they moved to Ft. Myers, FL for 19 years. Due to Leo’s health issues, they moved to Colorado to be near their daughter. After Leo passed, she traveled back to Illinois and Florida to visit relatives and friends. Marilyn loved to read, do crosswords, was an exceptional beautician, and following in her mother’s footsteps a fantastic cook.
