Marilyn J. Deitrick

Marilyn Jeanette Deitrick, who peacefully passed away on January 02, 2024, at the age of eighty-eight, is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Damian & Saundra, Bart & Judy, Timothy, Douglas & Maria. Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Vince and daughter, Rebecca Deitrick.

Marilyn's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She is survived by Alex, Michaela, Jack, Joseph, Nathan, Adam, Ryan, Ashley Tilden, Morgan Tilden, and Jessica Tilden. Marilyn was preceded in death by her first grandchild, Joshua, whose memory she held dear.

Born to Marion and Frieda Shaughnessy in Denver, Colorado, Marilyn spent her formative years in Globeville, a neighborhood adjacent to downtown Denver. In her youth and through early adulthood, she performed in many shows as an accomplished dancer. Marilyn graduated from North High School and attended Loretto Heights College in Denver. She worked at Martin Marietta as an illustrator for a few years and later ran her own Interior Design Company in the late 1970s.

Marilyn was a devoted mother to her five children, showcasing her many talents. She was a fabulous cook, baker, artist, and musician. Marilyn loved sharing and teaching her skills with her grandchildren. Her love for travel, appreciation of the mountains, passion for music, and wonderful sense of humor endeared her to all who knew her. Marilyn's commitment to her faith was evident in her extraordinary devotion to prayer, especially alongside Vince.
