It is with great sorrow that the family of Marie Magdalaena Janzer announces her passing on Thursday, April 6, 2023, with family by her side. She was 94. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church in Lakewood, Colorado, with the Rosary at 10:30 am and Mass at 11:00 am. Following Mass, a reception will be held at the church. The burial will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
Marie was born to Violet and Charles Dollbaum on August 26, 1928. She grew up in East Paterson, New Jersey with six brothers and one sister. She met her future husband, Victor, while working together and they married in 1954. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Boulder, Colorado where Marie pursued and received her pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado. During her attendance at the University of Colorado she and Victor started their family. Marie was mother to two boys and two girls: Conrad, Eric, Diane, and Beth.
Marie was very passionate about being a pharmacist and was involved in supporting the community and those in the profession. She was gifted in many things including cooking, sewing, and knitting and enjoyed making handcrafted food and clothing items for family and friends. Later in life she and Victor enjoyed world travel and their grandchildren. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to socialize, playing games, and visiting with family and friends.
Marie will be missed by those who loved her; her children - Conrad Janzer and wife, Connie, Eric Janzer and wife, Rosanna, Diane Gutentag, Beth Ondrak and husband, Todd, her sister Carol Pierchorowicz, and her three grandchildren, Eric M. Janzer, Preston Gutentag and Nicole Gutentag; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
