Marie Gosch

Marie (Hoggan) Gosch was born in Tremonton, Utah to her parents Agnes Maria (Cordon) Hoggan and James Drummond Hoggan on September 30th 1925. At the age of 4, her family moved to Burley Idaho where she grew up. Marie attended Burley High School in Idaho and graduated in 1943.  She would attend a business school in Omaha, Nebraska where she majored in secretarial science and bookkeeping. Marie moved to Denver, Colorado and it was there she met and married her husband in 1948, Delbert Herman “Bud” Gosch. After working for the State of Colorado for 34 years, she retired at the age of 65.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Agnes Hoggan; her husband, Delbert "Bud" Gosch; her siblings Iola, Drummond, Margaret, Cleo, Francis, Georgia, Adele, James, and George Robert "Bob"; and her son-in-law Donald Runyan (spouse of Susan Runyan). She is survived by her children, Susan (Donald) Runyan, John (MaryKay) Gosch, and Greg (Pam) Gosch; along with her 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Marie’s hobbies included line dancing, hosting dinner parties, playing bridge with her friends, and doing water aerobics at the YMCA. She served in many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 beginning at 6:00PM until 8:00pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.

In keeping with her wishes, a memorial service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado for immediate family only.
