Marian was a native Calcutta, East Liverpool, Ohio resident and loved sharing many memories with her Grandchildren, including her Father's days as Justice of the Peace, when he with others apprehended the famous gangster Pretty Boy Floyd, and her many exploits as one of ""the Chamberlin sisters."" She was graduated from East Liverpool School of Nursing in 1943 and married Robert Hendershot. The family lived in Lima, Ohio where Dr. Hendershot practiced medicine until his death in 1971. While in Lima Marian was charge nurse at St. Rita's hospital and vice-president of the Lima Junior Service League. In 1975 Marian married Robert Dietz and returned to Calcutta. Summers were spent boating along the Ohio River. She so enjoyed winter trips to their warm and sunny Deerfield Beach, Florida apartment which gave her an opportunity to spend time with her sisters. About ten years ago, Marian began her battle with Alzheimer's where her humility, wit, and tremendous inner strength enabled her to exhibit the grace and joy that everyone experienced in her presence. She and Bob delighted in their residence at Fox's Peachtree fine Independent Living and were grateful for the kind helpful Family Tree caregivers in Chester, WV, and she was blessed by the exceptional loving care she received at Someren Glen Health Suites in Denver, CO. Visitation was held at Horan & McConaty and Services were held at Someren Glenn Christian Living Communities both in Centennial, CO, and a Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima, Ohio in summer 2015.
