Our beautiful mother, Maria Dolores Luise Pacheco, passed peacefully at home on 11/5/2021 with her daughters by her side. Maria was born in Pueblo, CO on 11/14/54 to Manuel Pacheco and Cruz “Crossie” Pacheco (Medina) who proceeded her in death. She is survived by her children Leah Council, Jamie A Council (Jamie Lynn), Samantha Caamal (Victor Jr), Annette Lucero (Adam). Her grand children Isaac Council, Isaiah Council, Angelica Garcia, Anthony Jr Garcia, Lynn Marie Council, Cody Council, Leilani Caamal, Solomon Caamal, Rory Lucero, Lynnette Lucero, Monique Gonzales. Her Great-Grandchildren Justyce, Aarayah, Angelo, Milani, Sonny.
She had 5 siblings, the Late Joe Manuel Pacheco (Catherine), Genevieve Lobato, Richard Pedro Pacheco, the Late Elizabeth Pacheco, Abelino Anthony Pacheco (Christina). She had numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and god kids. She was a designated mother and grandmother to her kids friends and neighborhood kids. There were so many stray hearts she would open her arms and heart to and loved ones whom she loved dearly.
Maria was an incredible lady that did many different types of jobs through out her life. There wasn’t a job she acted like she was above or below. If she watched someone do it, she would learn and just jump right in. She worked any job make sure to keep a roof over her kids heads and food in our stomachs. However, her greatest accomplishment was being our mother and a home maker. She was creative, she could turn nothing into something great, like a 2 bedroom apartment into a 5 bedroom so we each had our own space. She could sew us clothes and she sure knew how to keep a house spotless with four wild kids. Her heart was a giving one to say the least, she donated to St Jude’s Hospital, The Dumb Friends League, Dr. Flanagan’s Boys Home, Disabled Veterans, the LGBT community, and mostly donated to Goodwill….where she would donate and end up buying it all back a week later.
She was beautiful inside and out. She was easy going, simple, and small things in life kept her happy. She loved going out to eat with her family, watching true crime shows, playing solitaire on her laptop, chewing big wads of gum and eating lollipops, she loved dancing and lip-syncing, and most of all going to yard sales. She enjoyed a good long laugh. She will never realize how much her absence will be felt. We love you Mom (Lady).
