Marguerite Salsbury

Marguerite was born in Denver, Colorado to Salvatore Francis Amato and Catherine Margaret (Morrison) Amato.  She graduated in the first class of Machebeuf High School in 1962.  Following high school, she attended Marymount College in Salina, KS, and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.  She married Ronald Mills and had three children.  In 1988, she married her second husband, Barry Sargent Salsbury of Larkspur, Colorado.  Barry has four children.

She loved all animals, especially her horses and dogs. She knew how to celebrate every holiday well and she loved road trips with Barry. Her fighting spirit was inspiring and saw her through many health challenges. Her family meant the world to her.

She is survived by her husband, Barry, her three children Patrick Mills (Nikki), Andy Hill (Jason), and Christopher Mills.  Additionally, survived by Barry’s four children, Lori Manuel (Russ), Sue Cellini (Kevin), Charley Salsbury (Grace), and Krista Alba (Henry).  She is also survived by her brother Mark Amato and his partner Arthur Kelley.  Between them, they have 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her father and mother and her brother, Anthony Amato.

Services will be held for Marguerite at 2:00 p.m. at Horan-McConaty on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 5303 E County Line Rd, Centennial, CO 80122.
