Margo A. Hammond passed away May 11, 2015 at the age of 69. She was born April 21, 1946 to the late Jean and Louise Hammond in Denver, Colorado. Survivors include sisters Jeanne (Joe) Vlock of Omaha, NE and Nancy (Mike) Moran of Austin, TX. Margo grew up in Denver and attended high school at Mount St. Gertrude Academy in Boulder. The eldest of 3 girls she chose to pursue a career in Radiologic Technology. She attended the program at Presbyeterian/St. Luke's Hospital and continued working there and at Aurora Presbyterian Hospital throughout its many changes for 46 years. In her career she trained many students and worked with dozens of fellow technologists. In the x-ray world she is known to many. People were truly important to Margo, she was fun loving, easy to talk to, and continued to make friends right up to her last day. Animals were also close to Margo's heart and she was active in supporting the humane society and no kill shelters. Margo was an adventurous soul and would try pretty much anything once. Her retirement 2 years ago came at a perfect time. Margo was able to fully pursue her fun loving side by traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with friends. She had a wide diversity of friends ranging from housekeepers to high level executives and teenagers to octogenarians. Her diverse interests were also reflected in her concert tickets to everyone from Pink to Garth Brooks and Bette Midler to the Beetles Tribute. Among her experiences Margo's love of travels took her to Alaska, Europe, Hawaii, Mazatlan, Dominican Republic, Mediterranean and many trips to see her close friends in Chicago and Kansas City. Her sudden death came as a shock to everyone who knew and cared about her. She was a dear friend, sister, and aunt. Margo was loved, and she will be missed.
