Margery J. Barbieri of Aurora passed away at the age of 100. Margery grew up with her family on a dairy farm near Hudson, Colorado, and on the edge of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal where she remembered attending elementary school at a one room schoolhouse. Following graduation from Hudson High School, Margery began working with the U.S. Government at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. She continued to advance in various administrative roles and eventually retired as a procurement specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense. Margery married Gerald “Jerry” Barbieri in 1950. Mr. Barbieri passed away in 2015. Margery's desire to care for her grandchildren led her to retire early. She looked forward to their visits and the time they spent together. She also enjoyed fishing, watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies, and the slot machines in Black Hawk.

Mrs. Barbieri is survived by her daughter Andrea (John) Horan and her son John (Laurie) Barbieri. She is Grammy to Kathleen (Luke) Densow, Laura (Austin) Jacques, Sarah (John) Fenton, and John Luke Horan, Melyssa (Alex) Loula, Gabriella and Isabella Barbieri. Margery’s great-grandchildren are Elle and Lily Densow, Nixie Brashear, Griffin Loula, Miles Jacques, and Henry Fenton.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 10675 Jaguar Drive, Lone Tree, with a Reception to follow from 12 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. Interment with her husband will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 1 P.M. at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
