Margaret R. Oberto

Margaret Ruth Oberto, 79, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on June 1, 2016. Margaret was born on July 19, 1936 in Telluride, Colorado to Reuben and Ethelmay Stroh. She grew up in Telluride, where she met her husband, Richard, and spent the early years of marriage in Grand Junction, Colorado. After moving to Arvada, Colorado in 1970, she began her long career working as an elementary school secretary for several Jefferson County schools in the Arvada/Westminster area. In retirement, she traveled, followed her favorite teams while quilting and knitting blankets for her beloved grandchildren, and visited with family and friends. Throughout her life, Marge enjoyed time together with family and friends best. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Ron (Donna), Joe (Lyle), David (Julie) and Jon (Andrea); nine grandchildren, Rhiannon, Michael, Alex, Scott, Buck, Jessie, Luke, Silvio and Amanda; siblings, Donald Stroh and Kathryn Fogle; many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patricia Strakey. Memorial Service honoring Margaret will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 11:00 AM, at Arvada United Methodist Church, 6750 Carr Street, in Arvada, Colorado 80004, with a reception following immediately after in the Arvada United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
