89, of Lakewood, Colorado. Margaret Ann Bowen was born on April 6, 1929 with a twin brother (Robert Bowen) in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. She was one of six children in the Bowen family, and she had what could be described as a difficult World War Two-era and Great Depression-era upbringing. Margaret quickly understood the value and need for hard work to survive; so, she left school at an early age and worked very hard her entire life. She later married Francis Joseph McDonald, and they grew their family with four children. Francisâs job required the family to move around Canada and the United States frequently, and Margaret is credited with making these frequent moves comfortable while ensuring a loving family dynamic within this challenging transient lifestyle. In her later years, she enjoyed conversing with her friends, playing bridge, and playing golf. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she spent a great deal of time doing volunteer work at a variety of churches and nursing homes. She had a beautiful soul that will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Margaret is survived by her four children, Robert (Catherine) McDonald of Victoria, British Columbia; James (Maria) McDonald of Belleville, Ontario; Peter (Nancy) McDonald of Lakewood, Colorado; and Julia (Greg) Lowery of Lakewood, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her late husband, Francis; as well as her parents, James Oliver Bowen and Gwendolyn Fraser.
