Margaret L. "Buggie" Logan

June 17, 1943 — December 2, 2025

Denver

Margaret passed unexpectedly Dec 2, 2025, at a Denver hospital. She was 82 years young, and still just as feisty as ever. She was born June 17, 1943, in Fort Smith, AK, the daughter of Wiley and Margaret Madison.

In the late 1950’s and the early 1960’s, she moved between Fort Smith and Denver beginning her high school career at Lincoln HS in AK and finishing at Manual HS in Denver where she graduated in the fall of 1961.

After high school, Margaret worked for a time at the Woolworth's location on 16th Street in downtown Denver. That position soon found her wanting a little more challenge and she found a rewarding position with Public Service Co of CO where she was employed for the next 28 years. She retired from the company in May 1998.

During this time, she met the man who would become the father to her five wonderful children; Cassandra, Kathy, Karla, Leslie and David. She married Roy Logan by shotgun on April 7, 1969 right before the third birthday of her fourth child, Leslie. The two had been together for seven years before they tied the knot so they figured it was past time to make Margaret an honest woman.

Margaret was the fifth in her brood and was preceded in death by her parents and six of her seven siblings; Sally Lane, John “Scrappy” Walker, James “Jimmy” Madison, Gerald “Jerry” Madison, Josephine “Josie” Asberry, and Thomas “Tommy” Holmes. Her surviving sibling, William “Billy” Madison, AKA “Nite Rider”, is the sixth in the brood, the “Last of the Mohecans,” and should be regarded a national treasure for his service to this nation and his devotion to his family. Her husband Roy precedes her in death by 39 years.

As the matriarch of the family, Margaret was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with number 23 on the way any day now, and many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret was always known to be the most jovial and fun-loving at the family get-together’s. She could always be found enjoying a plate of BBQ and a cold Diet 7-Up as well as engaging in boisterous conversation with family members. For fun, she loved to bowl and belonged to a ladies team called “The Strikettes” of which she was a founding member for 52 years. When she wasn’t doing that, she could usually be found at home, on the couch, yelling at political pundits discussing policy on television. In addition, she never missed a chance to catch a good Lifetime movie where she could frequently be heard to exclaim, “Don’t go in there, girl!! I told you not to go in there!”

Home Going services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 beginning at 10 AM to view with the celebration of her life to begin at 11 AM, at Horan and McConaty at 1091 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery at 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Repast will be held at her home at 2840 Holly Street, Denver, CO 80207.
