Margaret (Peggy) Miller
Nov 5, 1942 - April 17, 2025
Margaret Faye (Harrold) Miller died unexpectedly at the age of 82 in her home on April 17, 2025. Her family and friends are deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death.
Peggy was born in Omaha, NE to Hilma (Hawley) Harrold and Arthur “Jim” Harrold. She and her brother Larry were raised by her mother alone, with very little support, but this taught her the value of hard work and self-reliance.
Peggy graduated from Benson High School in Omaha, Nebraska in 1960. She was active in extracurricular sports and cheer-leading while in high school. She was proud to be a Benson Bunny and attended numerous reunion events in Omaha over the years.
She married Barry Miller of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey on December 21, 1961. They had four children: Todd, Kim, Erik, and Brett. Peggy and Barry raised their children in Fullerton, NE from 1965 to 1973, and then in Wahoo, NE until 1976. They then moved to Torrington, WY, where she lived until 1986.
Peggy was passionate in support of her children's extra curricular activities and her husband's coaching sports events, and was often the most enthusiastic fan in the stands.
Peggy’s career was largely in the financial and mortgage industries. She was proud to be a successful woman in these largely male dominated fields.
Peggy’s love of theater and her desire to enroll in college courses, led to her move to Denver, CO in 1986. Peggy’s love of acting began with acting in melodramas put on by a local group at the Fort Laramie National Historic Site. While living in Denver, she participated in numerous productions put on by local theater groups. She loved the camaraderie of the theater culture and was never happier than when participating in the whole process of rehearsals leading up to the live performances.
Peggy is survived by her children Todd (Lori), Kim, Erik (Karen), and Brett (Jennifer); brother Larry (Deb), along with six grandchildren, James, Michael, Elizabeth, Matthew, Tristan, and Taylor; and also two great grandchildren, Kaden and Kash. Peggy is also survived by her loving companion, Andrew. She will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to offer gratitude to her granddaughter, Taylor for the care she provided her Grandma with her medical issues and appointments.
