Margaret Martinez

Margaret Martinez, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by her family. Margaret was born in Trinidad, Colorado to Juan Benito Duran and Jenny (Tenorio) on February 7, 1938. They moved to Denver when she was very young. She married Rudy Martinez and they had four children (Bernice, Rudy, Allen and April).  She worked at Montgomery Ward from her teens until Montgomery Ward closed. She then worked at Lee’s Men Clothing and was there for many years. Once Lee’s closed Margaret started her own cleaning business. Rudy passed away in 1967, and she met Edward Martinez (of Taos, New Mexico) a couple of years later. They fell in love and were together until he passed away in 2009. They moved to Littleton in 1976 when they built their dream home in Columbine West. They both loved to travel and meet new people. Margaret had many friends and was loved by all who knew her. From her four children, she had 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.  Services will be held at St Frances Cabrini (6673 W. Chatfield Ave, Littleton, CO) on Thursday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m. with a reception held at Clement Park immediately following the service.
