Margaret “Meg” Kerr Chyr, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on August 11, 2026. Born on June 19, 1943, in Scotland to Gordon and Elizabeth Martin, Meg was raised in Seattle and graduated from Central Washington University before moving to Denver in 1967 to begin a distinguished 42‑year career as a United Airlines flight attendant. That same year, she met Nick, and they were married in 1969. She brought warmth, steadiness, and genuine care to everyone she encountered, living her life with a quiet grace that left a lasting imprint on those around her.
Because of the benefits of her job, her family loved traveling the globe, spending many vacations in the Hawaiian Islands and other beach destinations.
Her greatest joy was her family and friends, and she devoted her life to loving, supporting, and showing up for them. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion.
Meg is survived by her husband of 57 years, Nick; her son Corey and daughter‑in‑law Jen; her daughter Nicole and son‑in‑law Caleb; and her five cherished grandchildren — Brody, Lucas, Jo, Addy, and Kinslei.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 10:00 AM at:
Horan and McConaty 11150 E Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Meg’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado (www.alz.org/co).
May God welcome her into eternal peace, and may her love continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.
