A Life Overflowing With Love

With shattered hearts, we announce the passing of Marcus D. La 43. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

Born on September 19th, 1982, in Fremont, Nebraska, Marcus grew up alongside his brother and cousins making memories in Fremont, before expanding their adventures to Lincoln and Omaha. Over the years, Marcus built lifelong connections across Nebraska, Michigan, Illinois, Colorado, and countless other places. Whether you called him Dad, Brother, Uncle Marcus or simply friend, you gained a companion for life — one filled with laughter, joy, a few tears, and unforgettable adventures.

Marcus's greatest achievement is his family. He was a devoted father and husband whose love knew no bounds. He dedicated himself wholeheartedly to providing, protecting, and caring for Lien, Emmett, and Ella. He taught them the true meaning of love, sacrifice, strength, and kindness—not only through his words but through his actions every day. He was the anchor of the family.

His love was unconditional, his heart was generous, and his presence brought warmth and security to our lives.

His absence is felt deeply by all who knew him. Yet his memory lives on with the laughter he inspired, the kindness he showed, and the love he gave so freely.

He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 beginning at 2:00PM until 8:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Bouelvard, Lakewood, Colorado.

A Funeral Mass honoring Marcus will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 10:30AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. Marcus will be laid to rest immediately following the Funeral Mass at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
