Manuel L. Toledo—a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend—went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2026, from the comfort of his home in Westminster, Colorado.
Manuel was born on February 3, 1962, in El Paso, Texas, to Socorro Toledo and the late Gregorio Toledo. From a young age, Manuel learned the value of hard work, faith, and family. He grew up in Montebello, CO, and attended Central Catholic High School in Denver, CO, where he proudly graduated in 1980. While still in school, he worked alongside his father and brothers in the fields—experiences that shaped his strong work ethic and deep sense of responsibility.
After graduation, Manuel began a career in concrete construction, a trade that reflected who he was: dependable, hands-on, and never afraid of hard labor. It was during this time, in 1985, that he met the love of his life, Shirley Toledo. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and perseverance, welcoming their daughter Myriah, and later on March 9, 1999 they sealed their bond in marriage, at home in their living room in Westminster, officiated by Pastor Phil Abeyta—a simple, meaningful moment, and full of love, just like Manuel.
Manuel was a man of God, always striving to grow in his faith for himself and for his family. He was deeply devoted to those he loved. Family, friends, and coworkers were never just part of his life; they were his life. Even in his free time, Manuel couldn’t sit still. He was always working on a project, whether at his own home, helping family, or lending a hand to a friend. And if Manuel was around, you could be sure his favorite music was playing—loud and proud—filling the space with energy and life.
Manuel leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley A. Toledo; his loving children, Myriah Lovato (Ian Candelaria) and Jeremiah Moreno; his caring mother, Socorro Toledo; and his precious grandchildren, Maddox, Jasiahs, Alessa, Raven, Brissa, and Albert, who were a great joy in his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Martin Toledo and Raquel Guiterrez, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Toledo, and his brothers, Robert Toledo and Greg Toledo, who we trust welcomed him home with open arms.
Manuel’s life was one of hard work, faith, loyalty, love, and laughter. Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the man he was and the lives he touched. His strength lives on in his family, his lessons in our hearts, and his faith in our hope.
Rest in peace, Manuel. You are deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
