Major Everett C. Terry, World War II Army Veteran, age 99, passed away on May 31, 2017. A native of Nebraska, residing in Johnstown and Ainsworth, he lived for many years in Ocean Township, New Jersey, and moved to Denver in 2006. ""Terry"" graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, was a newsman for the Asbury Park Press and Electronic News, and editor for Electronics magazine in New York City. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mildred. The couple raised children, Stanley (Palo Alto, CA), Tanya Gurian (husband Bennett, Brookline, MA), Marcia Chapman (husband Dean, Corvallis, OR), Roger (wife Mary Ann, Silverdale, WA), and Diana Terry (husband Gregory Oberley , Denver, CO). Grandchildren Stephanie Pitsenberger Cook, Anthony Terry, Josef Gurian , Eve Wachhaus , Violet Ateret Shmuel, Max Gurian , and Ian Chapman, and great-grandchildren Haley, Daniel, Suave, Lyrik , and Oriya survive him. He was a world traveler, a superb writer and photographer, and had a great wit. We will miss him greatly. Service to be held June 10 at 10 am, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel , 1091 S.
