Luisamelina Rocha Caraveo

Luisamelina Rocha Caraveo, lovingly known by all as “La Nueva,” passed away on April 5, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado, at the age of 25.

La Nueva was born on September 6, 2000, in Denver, Colorado, where she was also raised and built a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and continued pursuing her passion for helping others by enrolling in nursing school, where she was just one year away from earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

For the past five years, La Nueva dedicated herself to caring for others as a caregiver and CNA, working in retirement centers, memory care, and hospice. She also gave her time volunteering at hospitals. Her work was more than a job—it was her calling. She poured her heart into every shift, working long hours not out of obligation, but out of genuine love for the people she cared for. She made a lasting impact on countless lives through her compassion, patience, and unwavering kindness.

La Nueva will be remembered for her radiant spirit and the joy she brought into every room. She was always dancing, singing, making people laugh. Being around her meant experiencing the best kind of energy—full of life, warmth, and unforgettable moments. She cherished time with her family, loved to relax with a beer, and truly knew how to make every moment feel special.

She is survived by her loving mother, Elvia Caraveo; her sister, Liza Rocha Caraveo; her stepfather, Sergio Muñoz; her father, Jorge Rocha; and her boyfriend, Luis Marquez. She also leaves behind many family members, friends, and all those whose lives she touched through her kindness and care.

La Nueva’s light, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Con profundo dolor en el corazón, pero también con infinito amor, despedimos a nuestra querida Luisamelina Rocha Caraveo, a quien todos conocíamos con cariño como “La Nueva”, quien partió de este mundo el 5 de abril de 2026 en Arvada, Colorado, a la edad de 25 años.

La Nueva nació el 6 de septiembre del 2000 en Denver, Colorado, lugar donde creció rodeada de su familia y amistades, formando una vida llena de alegría, amor y proposito. Se graduó de la Universidad de Colorado Denver con una licenciatura en psicología, y sin dudarlo siguió su vocación ingresando a la escuela de enfermería, donde se encontraba a tan solo un año de cumplir su meta de obtener su título como enfermera (BSN).

Durante cinco años, La Nueva se dedicó con amor al cuidado de los demás como cuidadora y asistente de enfermería (CNA), trabajando en centros para adultos mayores, cuidado de memoria y hospicio. También brindó su tiempo como voluntaria en hospitales. Más que un trabajo, era su pasión. Le nacía cuidar a los demás, entregando su tiempo, su energía y sobre todo su corazón. Disfrutaba cada momento con las personas a su cuidado y dejó una huella muy especial en cada una de sus vidas.

La Nueva será siempre recordada por su alegría tan contagiosa. Siempre estaba bailando, cantando y haciendo reír a todos los que la rodeaban. Donde estaba La Nueva, había ambiente, risas y momentos inolvidables. Le encantaba convivir con su familia, disfrutar de una buena cerveza y hacer de cualquier día un momento especial.

Deja un gran vacío en el corazón de su mamá, Elvia Caraveo; su hermana, Liza Rocha Caraveo; su padrastro, Sergio Muñoz; su papá, Jorge Rocha; y su novio, Luis Marquez, así como en el de muchos familiares y amistades que la quisieron profundamente.

Aunque su partida nos duele profundamente, su luz, su risa y todo el amor que nos regaló vivirán por siempre en nuestros corazones.
