Lowell William Catlett

Lowell W. Catlett, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully March 28, 2025, and is now reunited with his wife, Peggy. Lowell attended West High School then went on to trade school to learn the sheet metal trade as did his father. He then went to work for Midwest Engineering to learn and become an Air Balancer. When the owner retired, he went in business for himself and started Complete Mechanical Balancing. It became a thriving business which continues today through his son, Carl. He retired in 1998. Lowell and Peggy enjoyed trips to Granby Reservoir so much that he bought and ran the Best-Vu Motel and trailer park. Eventually, he sold the business but bought a mountain cabin in the same location where he could fish, “hike”, and enjoy the outdoors with his family. He also loved to travel across the country in his motorhome.

Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Hubbard and Alberta Catlett, his loving wife, Peggy, his brother Wayne and sister Janet. He is survived by his children, Christy (Mark), Terry and Carl (Dena); his brothers Lindell (Sharon) and Jim, and sister, Kathy (Jerry); his 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Harvey Park Christian Church at 10 am, Thursday, April 24, 2025, followed by a reception and gravesite service at Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lowell’s honor to St. Jude.
