Louis Charles Gibbons

Louis C. Gibbons of Greenwood Village, CO, died on July 3. Lou was born in Lost Springs, Wyoming, on August 8, 1914. In 1932 he graduated from Chesterhill High School in Chesterhill, Ohio. In 1936 he graduated from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. In 1940 he received a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from The Ohio State University. He worked as a research chemist for NASA in Cleveland, Ohio, for 15 years, and as a supervisor for Marathon Oil in Littleton, CO, for 24 years.
He is survived by his son, David, of Centennial, CO, and two grandsons, Christopher and Jeff. Memorial contributions would be appreciated by Special Olympics of Colorado at 410 17th Street, Suite 200, Denver, CO, 80202.
