Loretta Saracino

Loretta Saracino, 103, passed away under Hospice Care at Windcrest, Mill Vista Lodge in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She lived a full life surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; brothers, Dale & Theodore; sister, Mary Ellen; daughter, Sharon; and grandson, Eric.

Loretta was born January 4, 1920, to David and Edna Bretthauer in Kirk, Colorado. She married Lee Saracino in Fort Collins, Colorado in October, 1940.

She lived in Fort Collins most of her life, and was a member of St. Joseph’s church. Loretta worked at the CSU library and retired in 1985. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling in their mobile home and cruising. She loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Lewis (David) and Patrice Matteson (John).  Six grandchildren: Sara, Timothy, Matthew, David Jr., Daniel, and Doyle. She was also blessed with 10 great grandchildren. 

Services will be held on December 12, 2023, at 10:30 at Foothills Bible Church, 6100 S. Devinney Way, Littleton, Co.. with interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver at 2:00 p.m. 

Donations in Loretta’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
