Lonn Roland Whitmill, 62, passed away May 13, 2015 in Centennial, Colorado, surrounded by his loving family. He fought an 8-year intense and courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1952 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Don Roland and Mary Alice Salisbury Whitmill. Lonn worked for Pacific Natural Foods for the last 13 years. He was devoted to his job and equally devoted to the wonderful ""family"" of people he worked with. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lonn was blessed with many opportunities to serve in church callings and always shared love and concern for the people under his stewardship, especially the youth. His love of America and American history was well known and he always found a way to use history to teach lessons in his home, work, and church callings. He was an avid reader and became a book reviewer for Library Thing.com. Above all, Lonn loved his family fiercely and unconditionally and taught them all the importance and meaning of an eternal family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dianne; four daughters and their husbands, Angela (Tyler) Monson, Nicole (Chris) Snelgrove, Jennifer (Tom) Peterson and Amanda (Collin) Earl; grandchildren: Hunter Monson, Jakob Snelgrove, Lily Monson, Victoria Peterson, Brayden Snelgrove, Marlee Earl, Sophia Monson, Eliza Peterson, Logan Snelgrove, Makenna Earl, Owen Peterson, Gavin Snelgrove, Liam Earl, Issac Peterson and Baby Boy Earl (expected to arrive soon). Lonn is also survived by his brother, Leland D. Whitmill.
