Celebration of Life

Starts at 5:00 pm (Mountain (no DST) time)
Londette Lee Strang, 87, passed away peacefully in her home on January 10, 2026, following complications from colon cancer. She was surrounded by friends and family, with Elvis Presley music playing in the background. Born on January 20, 1938, at Baltimore General Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, Londette lived a life rich in love, laughter, curiosity, and devotion to the people and passions that brought her joy.
A proud graduate of Seton High School, Class of 1956, and secretarial school in 1957, Londette built a long and successful professional career as a secretary and executive assistant. She worked with dedication and grace at the May Company, Martin Marietta, Dyna Corp, and MJ Smith & Associates. After 25 years with MJ Smith & Associates, she retired in 2010 at age 72, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, loyalty, and kindness that colleagues remember fondly.
Londette’s life outside of work was filled with energy and enthusiasm. A voracious reader, she could often be found with a book (or Kindle) in hand. She loved tap dancing, dancing with her husband, selling Mary Kay and Avon cosmetics, Elvis Presley, and playing golf with the Silver Foxes at Heather Ridge. A gifted cook and a passionate traveler, she delighted in new experiences and in creating warm family traditions (she was known for her famous green chili). Above all, she cherished time with her children, her grandchildren, and her beloved pets over the years (Snowball, Blackie, Tiger, Callie, Scottina, and recently Henry and Leyla), each of whom brought her immense comfort and companionship.
Londette was preceded in death by her husband, David, whom she married in 1980, her parents, John and Genevieve Sandow, and her brother Jack. She is survived by her seven children: Brent, Dan, Ann, Jim, Janet, Carolyn, and Dawn. Her sons and daughters-in-law: Ben, Kristen, Brenda, Kevin, and Mike. Her grandchildren: Riley, Ryan, Kevin, Hannah, Jake, Sloane, Kiersti, and Mikey. Her step-grandchildren, Meghan, Shane, and Ryan. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren and her younger siblings, Larry, Jim, Dot, Jenny, and Bernie, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Ballroom at the Heather Gardens Clubhouse, located at 2888 S. Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO 80014. Family and friends are invited to honor Londette’s beautiful life and the love she shared so generously.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
