Lois Lavaun Williams was born in Danbury, NE on May 29th, 1928, and passed away on December 10th at 97 years of age, living through the depression and World War II, which she said was the greatest generation. She attended school in Danbury, graduating a year early, playing trombone, clarinet, saxophone, piano and played in a Saturday night dance band. She graduated a year early and then attended McCook Junior College, where she met her now deceased husband Jack Williams. He was stationed in the Air Force there while she worked for civil service during the war. Jack and Lavaun were married on October 8th, 1944, and had 3 children, Sharon Lee Hansen (Del), Stephen Lynn Williams (deceased, Chris) and Linda Lou Hardin (Steve). She has 3 grandchildren, Kari Hansen, Rhonda Hansen and Thom Casdorph and 4 great grandchildren, Clayton, Austin, Theo and Celeste. Lavaun ran the Rock Bottom Insurance Agency for several years in Castle Rock, CO while Happy Jack was the principal of the local Junior High. They also owned and ran the local Dairy King. She always looked for others and helped her family and friends whenever possible. She fondly remembered how her and her mother affixed reindeer headlights on their car and would take presents and food to needy kids on Christmas Eve.

Lavaun enjoyed socializing with her many friends at Heather Gardens and beyond, while playing cards and enjoying a glass of wine. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Broncos, Avalanche and Nuggets and played basketball and baseball in her youth. She was a kind woman who relished in her family, enjoyed just talking to people, and was simply a joy to be around. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
