Lois Marie Timkovich, age 72, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Lois was born to John and Margaret Timkovich in Gary, Indiana on January 27, 1953. Lois was a woman of many passions, and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
Lois grew up in Indiana, often spending time at the Shell gas station her father and uncles owned. While she was no stranger to the world of fuel and family business, she felt most at home when she was dressed up and presenting her best self. From a young age, Lois had a natural flair for fashion and a love for style. She initially pursued fashion merchandising and explored modeling, though her academic path eventually led elsewhere. Lois earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and International Business from Regis University, which set her on a successful career in banking. After many years in the industry, she retired in June 2023.
Lois’s deep Catholic faith was a steady source of comfort and strength, especially during life’s more challenging moments. Her devotion touched every part of her life—she attended Mass regularly when she could, offered support to those in need, and lived each day guided by the values of her faith. Her unwavering commitment to her Catholic beliefs was evident in both her actions and her spirit.
Lois had a special fondness for the city of Chicago, a place she called home for many years. She reveled in the energy and diversity of the city, its culture, and the variety of experiences it offered. Whether it was enjoying the local food scene or exploring the city’s many neighborhoods, Chicago was a constant source of inspiration for her. Lois also developed a special connection with Paris, a city that captured her heart with its fashions, food, history, and charm. Her love for travel took her to many places, though Paris always remained her favorite.
A dedicated lover of knitting, Lois spent many hours creating beautiful and intricate works, often gifting them to friends, family, and donating pieces to those in need. At home, Lois found great companionship in her dog, Riley, who was a constant and loyal presence in her life. The two were inseparable and her devotion to Riley brought comfort and happiness to her daily life.
Lois is survived by her brother Ronald Timkovich, his wife Glenda Page Timkovich. Her niece Lauren Timkovich Owens, her husband Robert Owens, and niece Katrina Timkovich and her partner Kenneth Wright.
Funeral services will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, CO on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11:00am, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, her family kindly requests donations be made in Lois’ memory to either the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation (https://www.helpfightra.org/donations/) or L.O.L.A.’s Animal Rescue in honor of her beloved Riley (https://lolasrescue.com/).
