Ms. Lois Melvine Grote, age 92, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 16th, 2025.
Lois was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on October 3rd, 1932.
Lois was almost age 8 when she began 1st grade in 1940 and through a series of events, she excelled and graduated high school in 1949. She earned an associate degree in Paralegal on August 7th, 1979, and her Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction, in communications management on May 7th, 1988.
Lois became interested in astrology in the mid-1970s. Through years of study, she helped others achieve personal success through recognizing the importance of their individual timing. She became a lecturer and published articles that appeared in various newspapers and magazines. In April 1986 she lived and lectured on the Delta and Mississippi Queen river boats during the visible appearance of Halley’s Comet.
Throughout her life, she had additional professions. She was a Census Taker for the U.S. Department of Commerce, a Job Developer for seniors, evaluated and graded essay test questions for the College for Financial Planning, and an administrative assistant.
Lois is preceded in death by her daughter Diane Grote and parents Lela and Jacob Jensen.
Lois is survived by her daughter Laurie Stephens (Jeff) and her brother Ronald Jensen and his wife Diana. She also leaves friends that will sadly miss her.
No service will be held, as requested by Lois.
