Lois Fleming

Bridge player and golfer extraordinaire Lois Fleming passed away on Friday March 29, 2024.

Daughter of Fred and Leah Chronister, Lois was born and raised in Decatur, Indiana.  She came to Denver in 1954 and worked as the Executive Secretary in an engineering firm.  While working at the firm she met Civil Engineer Dave Fleming.  They were married in 1963 and she became a member of Dave’s family which included his two daughters, Dee and Shelley.  Lois retired from the firm to take care of home and family.  
In 1966 she went back to work as Office Manager at Dave’s private engineering firm.  She retired for the second and last time in 1985, and joined Dave for worldly travels, golf excursions, and annual wintering in Florida.


Survivors include two children, Shelley (David) Black of Evergreen, Dee Stieff of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren, Devin (Charlotte) and Colleen of Denver.


To honor Lois's wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private Interment was held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
