Lo Anne Richardson

Lo Anne Richardson, 81, passed away in hospice care on March 11, 2023, after a short illness. She was affectionately known as Aunt Noi by her nieces and nephews and as Yoyo by some of the younger children at her church. She was a member of the first graduating class of the newly built Alameda High School in Lakewood, Colorado. She worked for several years at Dependable Cleaners until beginning a career working for the Jefferson County Assessor's Office and was still working full-time until her illness. During her 43 year tenure there, she developed many, many very close working relationships and the friendships she made continued throughout her entire life and witnessed especially during her short illness.
Lo Anne was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was mainly known for her help in cooking both at church functions and for youth camps. She was always willing to help in any capacity and dearly loved her church family. She will be missed.
Lo Anne loved to bowl and participated actively on leagues for many years. She had many hobbies which included sewing, knitting, crafting, and was fondly known for her beautiful cards. In fact, if you didn't receive one of her handmade cards, you felt shunned. However, she did exhaust her supply from time to time, but would redeem herself with a "late" handmade card.
She was preceded in death by her father Melvin; mother Wauneta, youngest brother Lowell. She is survived by two siblings Melvin (Carolyn) Leroy and Donna Rae as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service Friday, March 17, 2023, 9:30 am, Victory Baptist Church, 1305 South Dale Court, Denver, CO 80219. Viewing one hour prior to service. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
