Lloyd R. Moore, a lifetime resident of Golden, Colorado, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 6, 2024 after his children, many of his grandchildren, other family members, and friends were able to visit him and say their goodbyes. Lloyd was born May 25, 1928 to Ella and Earl Moore, also residents of Golden.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, of 67 years on January 11, 2015, his grandson, Shaun, and many other loved ones. He is survived by his daughters: Kathy (Alan) Trout, Janet (Clyde) Morris, and Joyce (Randy) Adams and his son, Brian (Amy) Moore, 13 grandchildren all who believe they are his favorite, 22 great grandchildren, and his sister, Clara Moore, several nieces and nephews, and friends.
Lloyd loved the outdoors, sports, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He coached his children in numerous sports and had a special love for all children. A neighbor child wrote, “Lloyd always spoke to me and it was more than a ‘Hi’, asking how I was doing or what I had going on, quite often asking about my Mom.”
Lloyd, along with his wife Donna, chose to make Christ the center of their lives about 8 or 9 years into their marriage, giving the family a firm foundation to build upon. After the death of Lloyd’s wife, Donna, he developed a friendship with a wonderful lady, Loraine Miller. Lloyd and Loraine shared stories of their younger years, their families, ate meals together, and truly enjoyed each other’s company and friendship. The family wishes to thank Loraine for her kindness to our Dad and to all of us.
The family will have a grave side service for their father, Lloyd, in the near future to honor a life well lived and to rejoice that he is in his permanent home with his Savior, our Mom, Shaun, and other loved ones.
