Linda Ann Young

Linda Ann Young, age 68, went home to be with her Lord March 18, 2023 in Lone Tree, Colorado, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born February 8,1955 to parents David and Bertha (Mazurowski) Jones of Berwyn, Illinois. Linda later moved to attend and graduate from Judson College in Elgin, Illinois. Linda and Mike married in 1978 and raised their family in Elgin for 37 years before relocating to Colorado in 2015. Linda was a devoted wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother to her family and will be greatly missed by so many. She was a faithful follower of Christ and served many years in her local church. She shared friendships with so many she met through Bible studies, knitting groups, sewing circles and stamping clubs. Her creativity and kindness she shared through her crafts will be remembered and missed by us all. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Young; son David Young of Littleton, CO; daughter Amy (Luke) Hutchins of Centennial, CO; three grandchildren Ellis, Levi and Archer Hutchins; mother-in-law Bonny Young of Plano, IL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and April Young of Plano, IL; brother-in-law Byron Young of Plano, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents David and Bertha Jones; father-in-law Arthur K. Young and several aunts and uncles. Those wishing to honor her life can make a dedication donation in her name to Ray of Hope foundation through the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. A private burial will take place March 24, 2023 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Castle Rock, Colorado. A memorial service to gather and celebrate together will be held at a later date, to be determined.
