Linda Marie Perkins

Linda Marie Perkins, 80, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. She was born on December 30, 1944, to Robert and Eileen Smith in Denver, Colorado. She attended Holy Family High School, Colorado State University and Barnes Commercial School. She worked for Continental Trailways, was a court reporter, and managed a tax practice.

In 1966 Linda’s world changed after a blind date with Army Captain Dick Perkins. She fell in love, got married, and was whisked off to Taiwan where she and Dick began their adventures and started a family.

Dick and Linda were soul mates who were married for 46 years in our lifetime but for eternity in theirs. They were unmistakenly made for each other.

Linda’s longest love has been dancing. She took classes when she was young and loved nothing more than taking her husband’s hand and leading him to the dance floor. After Dick’s passing she took ballroom dance classes to find joy.

Linda had a passion for all things Colorado. She loved traveling all over the state exploring every corner. Rocky Mountain National Park was a personal favorite. She delighted in taking people over Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road. She wanted everyone to experience the majesty of the Colorado Mountains. She was a true Broncos fan.

Linda was devoted to her family. She and Dick raised Richard, Taunya, and Nichole. As parents, they committed themselves to providing the best education they could from first grade through three college graduations. To show them the wonders that surround us, they took their children to more than 25 National Parks. Linda loved her grandchildren and would tell you that hers were the smartest and best looking. She wanted nothing more than having her family gathered around her with all the conversation and fun that could be had.

Linda was rooted in her Catholic faith as a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church for more than 45 years.

In remembering her she would want you to think of her as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Linda is predeceased by her husband Richard N. Perkins, and her parents Robert and Eileen Smith. She is survived by her son Richard Perkins and his wife, Alden Perkins of Colorado, and their son Thomas Perkins and their daughter Susan Perkins; daughter Taunya Stevens and her husband Robert Stevens of Maine and their daughter Grace Stevens and their son Brian Stevens; daughter Nichole Crisanti and her husband Lindsey Crisanti of Colorado and their son Cayden Crisanti and their daughter Emma Crisanti; and brother Robert Smith and his wife Arlene Smith of Colorado and brother Michael Smith and his wife Margaret Smith of Colorado, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
