Linda Flowers

September 19, 1942 — August 20, 2021

Northglenn, Colorado

Linda K. Flowers passed away Friday August 20th, 2021 in Northglenn Colorado after several years of health issues related to lung cancer and COPD.   Linda was born in Salt Lake City Utah on September 19, 1942, to Juanita Robinson and Fred Allen.  She was  raise by her mother and step-father and lived in many states being raised as an Air Force brat.  She even lived in England for several years during High School.  She graduated from High School in Sumter SC, where she met her husband Warren Flowers.  She and her husband returned to Colorado where they raised their two children.  After her divorce Linda began working full time and discovered a love for human resources.  After moving to Texas, she went to school to become certified in the Human Resource field.  She was a Human Resource Manager for a number of years.  She then took off, with her daughter, for the wilds of Alaska to pursue a dream to open a B&B.  Ending up in Washington State, Linda owned a B&B for a few years, before returning to Colorado to be close to her son and family again.  Linda retired from Boulder County Environmental Services.  During this time Linda returned to her faith and this became a strong motivation in her life.  She loved witnessing to others and trying to shine her light on them.  Even after going through treatment for lung cancer, and suffering a mild stroke, Linda became a Stevens minister, feeling that God still had work for her to do.  Unfortunately Linda developed COPD, and eventually her cancer returned.  At that point the LORD took Linda home where she is now in his care, has new lungs, and is no longer in pain.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Rose Straw, and her son Warren (Doug) Flowers II.  She is survived by her younger sister, Jill Nordquist, her daughter Lorrie Flowers, a great aunt, two nieces, a multitude of cousins, and friends.
