Leona E. Swanson

Leona E. Swanson, 93, passed away on July 31, 2016 in Chelsea Place Memory Care. Born on May 26, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Prentice L. and Effie Mae (McGyver) Adams. She is survived by her son, Eric Swanson and his wife Dana; her daughter, Janet Palmer and her husband Dean; her grandchildren, Christopher Swanson and his wife Nicole, Brandon Swanson and his wife Kim, Matthew Palmer and his wife Lutrice, Michael Palmer and his wife Amanda, Mark Palmer and Stephanie Raymond, and Anthony Swanson and Kelly Beiser; great-grandchildren, Noah Swanson, Cooper Swanson, Brayden Palmer, Caden Swanson, Presley Swanson, Landon Palmer, and Brinley Palmer; and her sister, Edna Mae Adams. Relatives and friends are invited to join Leona's family at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver CO US 80235 Staging Area ""B"", on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 9:30 AM for a committal service. A funeral service will take place, immediately following at 10:30 AM at University Park United Methodist Church, 2180 S University Blvd. Denver, CO 80210. A reception in the church hall will conclude her services. Memorial donations in Leona's name may be made to University Park United Methodist Church, or the Alzheimer's Association P.O.
