Leon Charles Hrcek, 75, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2026, at Littleton Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Leon was born in Hallettsville, Texas, and grew up in Shiner, Texas, where he attended Shiner High School. Raised with strong values of faith, family, and hard work, those foundations remained with him throughout his life.
Leon honorably served his country in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army Reserves. His commitment to service reflected the discipline, humility, and quiet strength that defined him.
A skilled Journeyman Machine Repairman, Leon devoted his career to his trade with diligence and integrity, concluding his professional journey with the Highlands Ranch Metro Districts. He took pride in his craftsmanship and in faithfully providing for his family through honest work.
Leon was a devoted Catholic and faithful parishioner of St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch. His faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he found brotherhood, purpose, and opportunities to serve his parish community. Leon lived his faith not only in word but in action — through service, prayer, and steadfast devotion to his family. He established many long lasting friendships and touched many lives through his charismatic personality. He is also known for his passion of being an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Nell Hrcek, who passed in 2012 after 33 years of marriage. Leon carried her memory in his heart and looked forward in hope to their reunion in eternal life.
Leon leaves behind his loving family: his son, Jason Alan Hrcek, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hrcek; his cherished grandchildren Justin Hrcek, Julius Hrcek, Juliana Hrcek, Juliette Hrcek, and Juventius Hrcek; his daughter, Jennifer Annette Walsh, and son-in-law, Joe Walsh; and his grandson, Jasper Walsh. His legacy lives on in the faith, values, and love he instilled in each of them.
Leon will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, craftsman, and faithful servant of God. His steady presence, strong work ethic, and enduring faith leave an example that will continue to guide his family for generations.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
May perpetual light shine upon him, and may he rest in the peace of Christ.
