Leon Gerard Bihr

We sadly share news of the death of Leon Bihr.

Leon was born in Denver to Jackie Walker on March 14, 1978. Following the death of his young mother in December 1981 he was welcomed into the family and adopted by his godparents Roxann and Hans Bihr. He attended St. Pius X grade school and Regis Jesuit and Rangeview High Schools.

He married the love of his life Shelley Sanders in 2015 and they had two beautiful children, Logan and Madison. They made their home in CO Springs. He enjoyed a successful career as a finance manager in several car dealerships there.

Leon was a good man and a loyal friend. As a boy he loved learning about animals and was a gifted athlete. His love of sports continued throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching sports, going to Broncos games with his uncle Larry and son Logan, and playing Barbies with daughter Madison.

Leon will be deeply missed by his wife Shelley and children Logan and Madison, parents Roxann and Hans, sister Allison Carow and husband Andy and their children, and other extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his birth mother, grandparents, and uncle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Aurora, CO; Tuesday July 9, beginning at 10:30am; followed by a reception in the parish hall. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO.
