Leland Dwight Rhodes Jr

Leland Dwight Rhodes Jr., age – almost 92, died in his home in Centennial, Colorado on March 27, 2025. He was a graduate of University of California – Berkeley. He went on to earn a master’s in business administration from Denver University. Leland met and married Myra Brodrick in Sacramento, 70 years ago. He worked as a petroleum geologist after college and spent his retirement years in Denver.

Leland was captain of his ski team at Berkeley, successfully completed 100 mile ultra runs in California and Colorado well into his seventies. He climbed Kilimanjaro, worked in Colombia and Venezuela and enjoyed meeting and making friends all over the world. He is survived by his wife, Myra, their sons Leland III and Jeffery and their daughter Debra and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Robert and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Leland Sr.

Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Centennial, Colorado, on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 11:30 am, with a reception to follow.
