Lee E. Zimmerman

Lee, age 40, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2015. He is survived by his son, Jack; parents, Jan & Bob Jackson; and grandfather, Ted Roorda. Lee was born on November 10, 1974. He was a bruising 7 lbs. 11 ounces. It wasn't long before people were asking if we were beefing Lee up to be a future Bronco player. Lee was lucky to spend so much time in the mountain with his grandparents, Ted and Babe Roorda before he was even old enough for school. Lee learned how to fish, snowmobile, horseback ride and ride ATV's at a very young age. Lee went to a Lutheran school that gave him a wonderful foundation of loving the Lord. Lee was their star soccer goalie. Lee started working at age 17 in the construction business. He started from the bottom and ended being an underground utility gas and electric installation foreman. Lee's life goal was to be the best dad to his son Jack. His life was Jack. He taught Jack how to really ride a Quad. Jack learned many cooking nuances from Lee who was an excellent chef. Lee's pride in Jack will last forever. A Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 starting at 11:00 AM followed by a Funeral Service starting at 12:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado.
