Lee Schurdevin

November 9, 1961 — September 19, 2021

Thornton

Lee R. Schurdevin of Thornton, Colorado passed away on September 19, 2021 at the age of 59. He was born in North Dakota on November 9, 1961 to Roy Schurdevin and Donna (Ellis) Schurdevin.

Lee graduated from Moorhead Senior Highschool in 1980, and in 1987 he moved to Thornton, Colorado. He began working at BFI (now Republic Services) as a residential trash collector and advanced to a roll off trash collector. He loved driving his trucks and did so until 2019. Lee worked hard and took great passion in everything that he did. For as hard as he worked, he played with just as much enthusiasm (if not more). He loved riding his Harley, water skiing, camping, and most importantly spending time with his friends and family.

Lee is survived by his sister Lynette Schurdevin of Rio Rancho, NM; his step-mother Betty (Siebels) Schurdevin; aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with many other beloved family members and great friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Donna Schurdevin in 1988, and his father Roy Schurdevin in 2019.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:00am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Thornton, Colorado. A light lunch will be serviced following the formal service. Lee will be laid to rest at a later date in Moorhead, MN.
