Died at his home in Westminster, Colorado surrounded by his loved ones on May 17, 2025.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Sharyn (Schneringer), and two daughters, Stephanie (Brandon) Hawkins, and Laura (Kevin) Paulson.

Larry was brother to Tom (Carolyn) Griffith, Eddie (Janene) Griffith, Teresa (Jerry) Cavaleri, and Paul (Rhonda) Griffith, and survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry grew up in North Denver attending St. Catherine of Siena School and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel High School class of 1964. After graduating, he attended Regis College. Then joined the Army and was an officer for the National Guard.
Larry loved and adored his beautiful wife, Sharyn. They met in kindergarten and were a beautiful story of high-school sweethearts. They were married in April 1969 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Denver. They were blessed to celebrate 56 wonderful years of marriage.
Larry trained as a carpet installer starting in 1968 and after a few years of hard work, he
began managing his own crews. He was instrumental in the growth of various flooring companies in the Denver area which enhanced his passion for the trade. In September of 1988, he founded The Colorado Floor Company.
“Griff” was a respected and successful business leader in the flooring industry. Business partners and employees alike honored Griff’s knowledge and tenacity as he was an integral part of the company’s reputation that is upheld today. He was faced with health challenges starting in 2006, and he battled through many adversities. Griff has remained the foundation of The Colorado Floor Company even after his health made him unable to work in 2021. Griff will be sadly missed by the whole Colorado Floor Company family, but his legacy will live on forever. He was a pillar of the values of God, family, and hard work!
There was nothing Papa loved more than a crisp morning fishing in Basalt, Colorado, a close Monday night football game, a good glass of red wine, Grace said before a good Italian meal, and a table full of family. His memory will live on in all the big and small moments of those he now watches over.
