Lauri Beth Miller, age 26, was born on August 6, 2000, and passed away on August 10, 2026. She was a graduate of Centauri High School and went on to study Biochemistry and Biomedical Engineering at Colorado State University, before moving to Denver. She was a talented artist, fashion designer, and author whose creativity brought beauty and inspiration to those around her.
Lauri is survived by her fiancé, Paul Bober of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; her parents, Jason and Melanie Miller of Alamosa, Colorado; her siblings, Ryan (Casey) Miller of Ephrata, Washington; Ashley Miller (Ryan Gillette) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kelli Miller (Chad Taylor) of Bradenton, Florida; Emily (Dan ) Sowards of Vineyard, Utah; and Adam Miller of Alamosa Colorado; her grandparents, Vaughn and Connie Miller and Brent and Ann Sowards, both of Sanford, Colorado, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lauri was a creator in every sense of the word. She could see possibility where others saw something ordinary or overlooked. She loved thrifting, finding forgotten treasures and giving them new life through her own imaginative style. She had an instinctive eye for fashion and design, and a love of creating art, especially pencil sketches. She was also an author and could take complicated thoughts and distill them into something clear and meaningful.
She was extraordinarily intelligent, but never in a way that made others feel small. She could participate in nearly any conversation, contributing fascinating information or unexpected facts. She had a remarkable ability to connect seemingly unrelated ideas and articulate them well. She also liked to travel, often spontaneously, always ready for an unplanned adventure.
What the world will remember most about Lauri, is the way she loved. She was generous in the truest sense of the word, always giving and asking for nothing in return. She loved deeply, and fiercely. Her loyalty to family and friends was unwavering, and those fortunate enough to be loved by her knew they had someone in their corner.
She was also gentle and accepting, a safe place for those who needed to feel seen without judgment. She was often the “therapist” for her friends and recognized something valuable in people whom others might overlook. Her friendships included people from varied backgrounds and circumstances.
Lauri loved big and lived with a belief that people and things should not be judged only by what they appear to be at first glance. She leaves behind a legacy of love, given without expectation, which will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew her.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 25th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the LDS Church Cultural Hall, 755 Main Street, in Sanford Colorado.
