A proud lifelong native of Denver, Lana, affectionately known as Sue, lived a life defined by generosity, flavor, and boundless love for her family. She passed away on October 5, 2026 at the age of 70.
Those who knew Lana will remember a woman who was always ready with a kind word and an eager hand to help. After raising her family as a dedicated homemaker, she opened The Espresso Bar, building a thriving, highly successful espresso cart business from the ground up. She found herself at the forefront of a nationwide trend, and her energetic and warm personality helped to build a loyal following.
A woman of genuine artistic talent, Lana brought beauty and personal style to everything she made, from detailed quilts and sewing crafts to vibrant garden beds. Her kitchen was an engine of effortless hospitality; she consistently baked and cooked extra, delighted to share a meal with whoever stopped by. Her deep love was centered on her two children and grandchildren, who carry forward the memory of her generous table and creative spirit.
Lana is survived by her two children, Matthew and Brianna; her cherished grandchildren, Phalicity, Yirmeyahu, Carmel, Avraham, Odelyah, Elisheba, and Naomi; and the many community members whose lives were brightened by her friendship. Services celebrating her life will take place at 11:00 AM on November 11, 2026, at Horan & McConaty, Centennial, Colorado.
Donations in her honor can be directed to Denver Indian Center, Inc.
