It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Kyle Mark Haan, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend, who left this world on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in Aurora, Colorado. Born on May 9, 1986, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Kyle’s unforgettable spirit brought light to the lives of all who knew him. His memory will live forever, wrapped in love, in the hearts of his family: parents Jennifer (Yezic) Haan and Mark (Kim) Haan, sister Sarah (Haan) VanEerden, and nephew Henry James VanEerden. His memory will also live on in the hearts of his grandfather Marvin Haan and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Kyle's laughter was infectious. An instant lift to any room, he had an innate gift to make every moment brighter. He was truly a song in human form, and anyone lucky enough to have spent time with him will most certainly have a tune (or three) attached to the memory. His warm spirit made him easy to connect with, and he freely shared his love of music and life, always ready for fun with a speaker in hand. Kyle was a seeker of the sun and brought so many smiles to the faces of those around him.
In his childhood, Kyle was an accomplished athlete, excelling in gymnastics earning national awards, as well as participating in cross country, soccer, tennis, and water skiing. His athleticism was also a true asset on the dance floor. Academics were another area of life where Kyle excelled, from grade school through high school and college.
Kyle graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in communications. He continued to expand his horizons, furthering his education in database management at Davenport University, always striving for excellence. Upon entering the professional world, Kyle succeeded in a career at Charles Schwab’s technology center.
Meeting Kyle on the other side are his grandmothers Muriel “Kittie” Haan and Evelyn Yezic, grandfather Milan Yezic, uncles Joe Yezic and Billy Yezic, and cousin Bradley Bache`. We hold tight to the comforting thought that they’re together again.
Once you’ve finished reading this all-too-brief account of Kyle’s wonderful soul, please take a moment to put on any, or all, of the following songs, turn your face to the sky, and sing out loud:
Kyle, may your arms extend beyond eternity to carry our love that is yours to hold, forever. You will be deeply missed, and we promise to live a little louder in your memory. Your ability to share joy, acceptance, and set the perfect vibe will carry on. It’s time to turn up the heavenly jams, sweet Ky Ky.
